Given that WALL-E relies heavily on visual storytelling and robotic sounds rather than dense verbal language, subtitling poses unique challenges. This study analyzes specific scenes where cultural references, humor, and critical thematic terms (e.g., "directive," "plant," "Axiom") are translated into Indonesian. Findings suggest that while Sub Indo preserves narrative clarity, certain nuances of satire regarding consumerism and loneliness are partially neutralized due to linguistic constraints.
