Unlike its gore-heavy cousins, UselessAVI wasn't scary because of what it showed—it was scary because of what it did . Viewers reportedly forgot the video immediately after watching it, only to experience violent nosebleeds and the sensation of being watched by a "smiling man with TV static for eyes."
