The story begins with a flashback revealing that Branch was once part of a legendary boy band called alongside his four older brothers: John Dory, Spruce, Clay, and Floyd. During a failed attempt to hit the "Perfect Family Harmony," the band breaks up, and the brothers go their separate ways, leaving Branch alone to become the grumpy troll we met in the first film.
