The story begins in 1200 B.C. Ancient Greece, where Queen Alcmene prays to the gods for a saviour to overthrow her tyrannical husband, King Amphitryon (Scott Adkins). She is visited by Zeus and bears a son named Hercules, though he is raised unaware of his true identity.
