It is frequently broadcast on RTS (Radio Television of Serbia) ; a special TV cut, slightly shorter than the theatrical version, was produced specifically for this network.

It is the first-ever Serbian-Jordanian co-production.

Based on the best-selling novel Petkana by Ljiljana Habjanović Đurović, the film follows the life of Paraskeva (Sveta Petka), a young woman who leaves her life in Constantinople to spend 40 years in the Jordanian desert. The narrative focuses on her internal struggle, her battle with temptations, and her ultimate path to becoming one of the most beloved saints in the Orthodox world.
