The adventure begins in 1935 at a Shanghai nightclub, where archeologist narrowly escapes a deadly confrontation with a Chinese crime boss [3, 4]. During his flight, he is joined by Wilhelmina "Willie" Scott , a nightclub singer, and his young sidekick, Short Round [3, 4]. Their plane crashes in the Himalayas, leaving them stranded in a remote Indian village [1, 4].
