You do not need to update this ID for fun. You typically need to update it because of one of the following scenarios:

Restart Xplay; you should now see the "Initial Launch" screen prompting for a new Provider ID, username, and password. Reinstall the App Uninstall Xplay from your device. Download it again from your respective store, such as the Google Play Store for Android or the App Store for other platforms.

Select or Applications > Manage Installed Applications . Find and select XPLAY . Choose Clear Data (or Clear Storage ).
