From a fabrication standpoint, Stainless Steel is generally easier to work with using standard CNC machinery. It is ductile and forgiving. Conversely, materials treated with hardfacing (Filedot) require diamond grinding wheels or specialized ceramics to shape. If a project requires complex geometry, SS is the superior choice.
