When you work on a complex project, you duplicate a composition. In standard After Effects behavior, if you duplicate Main_Comp to Main_Comp_v2 , everything inside remains linked to the original assets. If you change a pre-comp inside v2 , it changes in v1 as well. This ruins customizations.
