This paper argues that the Indian family drama—whether in cinema (e.g., Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge , Kapoor & Sons ), OTT series ( Made in Heaven , Panchayat ), or viral lifestyle content (Instagram “joint family vlogs”)—serves as a unique socio-political barometer.
