In 2023–2025, multiple Reddit users reported downloading "Bloodborne PC repack" from Pirate Bay or 1337x. The file was a 500MB archive containing a 50MB setup.exe and dummy data. After running, their Steam accounts were hijacked, and their systems joined a DDoS botnet.
