After months of editing, sound design, and countless late‑night tea breaks, released “Midnight Whispers” —the working title—on an online streaming platform in November 2021. The film was directed by , a relatively low-key director who previously worked as an assistant director on major Pollywood productions. For Singh, Angrezi Baba was an ambitious project designed to critique the "Baba culture" prevalent in rural North India. However, due to a limited marketing budget, the film failed to secure a wide release in major chains like PVR or Cinepolis upon its initial drop in September 2021.
