The adult entertainment industry continues to evolve, with trends shifting towards more personalized content and direct interaction between performers and their audiences. However, the industry also faces challenges, including discussions around consent, performer rights, and the impact of content distribution on performers' well-being.
The rise of online adult content has transformed the way people consume and interact with sexually explicit materials. This paper conducts an exploratory analysis of three popular online adult content creators: Abbywinters, Karine, and Maya B, with a focus on their content, audience engagement, and the themes present in their work. Specifically, we examine the phenomenon of "Shyly Watchin..." - a popular online trend where viewers engage with adult content in a covert or anonymous manner. Through a qualitative content analysis and a review of existing literature, this study aims to contribute to a deeper understanding of the online adult content landscape and the ways in which creators and consumers interact with and shape this digital space.
